Aromatherapy ~ included in price
Aromatherapy is  a truly holistic therapy using the science of essential plant oils. It takes into account the physical, mental and  emotional state of a person.
We will consider your current lifestyle, eating patterns  and stresses, to help you find the perfect combination.
We have a range of over 30 different blends that will help everything from arthritis, cellulite, depression, insomnia, muscle pain, poor energy, recovery from illness, winter blues.... to name just a few !

Hot Stone Massage ~ included in price
The warm basalt stones add a depth to your treatment.
When used in conjunction with essential  oils, the stones allow your body to absorb them more quickly.
The soothing heat will improve the circulation and blood flow of the area being massaged, and as  the stones gently warm your skin and help release tension, you will feel a deep sense of relaxation.

Deep Tissue Massage  ~ min. 90 minutes £70
Is especially helpful for chronic aches and pains.
Deep Tissue massage uses slow, firm, deep strokes, knuckles, forearms and sometimes elbows.

The movement is slower than the classic Swedish massage. To  avoid any pain or discomfort as we work deep into the tissue and muscle area, a longer session is always necessary.

Any pain you experience should always be an "Aaaaah" and  never an "OW"!

 Myofascial Release ~  min. 90 minutes £70
Not all pain is muscular. Myofascial Release is a very relaxing treatment that releases restriction within the Fascia - the connective tissue network.
Working slowly and gently into the tissue, we enable stuck and hardened areas, where function has been difficult, to become more pliable and soft.
The "release" that the body allows and accepts is then followed in the direction of least resistance. When it starts to resist, we wait for the tissue to "give" and for the connective tissue fibres to become flexible.
At the time you may not feel much is happening, or possibly, twinges in other parts of your body - this is all perfectly normal.
However, when you step down from the table, you will feel a sense of being lighter and freer, as if more space has suddenly become available.

The principles of Myofascial Release, are also life principles: Be centered; engage slowly: and wait at the barrier without forcing the system, and change WILL happen.

Warm Bamboo Massage

Please request at time of booking

There is a  £5 surcharge for this service
Warm Bamboo Massage is a nurturing therapy that will leave you with a sense that your muscles have been stretched and elongated.
The warm bamboo provides a deep broad pressure, the smooth surface and gentle heat simply iron out pain and discomfort.
As the heat relaxes the muscles, the bamboo penetrates down into the soft tissue  and helps us to work right into the fascia and the deepest knots.
You will not notice the bamboo but feel strong hands and a deep penetrating heat that will leave you feeling not only energised and revitalised but also relaxed.
Swedish Massage
Picture
Is  the most common and best-known type of massage in the West.
If it's your first time or you don't get massages often, Swedish massage is the best place to start.
This type of massage can be slow and gentle, or vigorous and bracing.
